Drink Free Days

Public Health England and alcohol education charity Drinkaware have jointly launched a Drink Free Days campaign to help people cut down on the amount of alcohol they are regularly drinking by encouraging them to have several Drink Free Days a week.

This campaign has been developed off the back of a YouGov poll which found that one in five UK adults are drinking above the Chief Medical Officers’ low risk drinking guidelines of 14 units a week.  More than two thirds of these say they would find cutting down on their drinking harder to do than other lifestyle changes such as improving their diet, exercising more, or reducing their smoking.
